The 13th China Furniture Design Awards (CFDA), held by the China Furniture
Association and Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo International Exhibition Co., Ltd (UBM Sinoexpo), aims to focus the attention to furniture design, promote its development, encourage the growth of rising young designers and ultimately provide more original Chinese furniture products for domestic and overseas markets. As a 12-yearold professional award, it has not only witnessed the rapid development of China’s furniture industry, but gathered the most outstanding products in the furniture industry which represent the highest standard. With the support of the China Furniture Association and Furniture China, one of the top three international furniture exhibitions in the world, the CFDA have grown into one of the most authoritative and well-known design awards in the world.

Golden Axe Furniture Design Competition 2010-2011
Golden Axe Furniture Design Competition aims to coagulate design strength home and abroad, and promote the development of China furniture design through exhibition and display of furniture design works; to culture furniture design forces and talents, select excellent furniture designers, and build up an innovation platform for china’s furniture industry through furniture design, and to impulse overall improvement of the furniture industry.

Modern & fashion life with solid wood
-Using fast-growing wood significantly for designing wood furniture

Entry Group:
Entry groups are classified as professional group and academic group. The professional group is dominated by design institutions and enterprises from home and abroad, including designers, technologist and entrepreneurs. The academic group gives priority to students of universities and colleges home and abroad.

When: Final September 2011

Four kinds of civil solid wood single furniture, e.g. chairs, cabinets, tables and sofa
